Itinerary

  • Day 1.- Cusco - Piscaycucho - Wayllabamba

    We will begin this beautiful journey from early in the morning, going in our mobility to the station of Piscaycucho (kilometer 82 of the railway), and we will register at the checkpoint of the Sanctuary of Machupicchu. We will walk to a place called Llactapata, in this place, our spiritual guide will make with us an offering of permission to Mother Earth (Pachamama) and the tutelary Apus as a sign of gratitude and respect, to lead us on our way with harmony, peace, love and understanding. After lunch in Tarayok, we will take a brief rest and we will restart our trek to Wayllabamba where the first camp awaits us to rest after a delicious dinner.

  • Day 2.- Wayllabamba - Warmiwañusca - Paqaymayu

    We have an early breakfast on site and set up camp, we start a hike that takes us to the highest point of the Inca Trail, observing different microclimates, passing from the rainforest of Yuncachimpa to the puna of Warmiwañusca (4200 m.a.s.l.) In this beautiful place we will perform a purification ceremony with our shaman and our traditional musicians. It will be the moment to meet with our own being and get in touch with the light of the universe. After overcoming the Warmiwañusca pass, we will continue walking until we make camp for lunch and rest, but we will restart the hike shortly after to head towards Paqaymayu, where we will camp again to rest, have dinner and spend the night.

  • Day 3.- Paqaymayu - Chaquicocha - Wiñaywayna

    After resting and having breakfast, the third day of our Inca Trail experience awaits us. After ascending the mountains for approximately one hour, we will arrive at the sacred area of Runkurakay, where we will make a brief stop to meditate. Continuing the way we will reach the pass that is at 3941 meters above sea level, in this place we will raise our own "apachetas" in an ancient ritual act that consists of placing stones on top of each other symbolizing the difficulties of the road and the experiences of all kinds with a deep intention of gratitude to life, continuing the walk we will descend to the archaeological site of Sayakmarca, where we will have a time of meditation and an explanation of the place with our tour guide, continuing with our walk we will pass by Phuyupatamarca sacred place where we will make a thanksgiving to our ancestral priests, then we will go into the jungle until we reach our third camp of Wiñaywayna (2700 m.a.s.l.)

  • Day 4.- Wiñaywayna - Machupicchu - Cusco

    Very early in the morning we start the walk for a period of two hours to the Sacred Inca City of Machupicchu, we will wait at the control gate to register our entrance to the sanctuary, then we will walk our way to the Inti PunKu (gate of the sun). In this place we will perform our last ceremony of permission and gratitude to enter the sacred city of Machupicchu and the ancestral tutelary Apus Gods (mountains) that surround it through the kintu (three sacred coca leaves), which to this day remain in protection to their children. Then we will have a moment of personal encounter to seek spiritual transformation and find the light of the universe. After performing our last ritual we will descend to the sacred sanctuary for 45 minutes we will enter to tour the wonder of the world guided by our tour guide accompanied by our spiritual guide for a time of 2 hours to visit the great sanctuary of Machu Picchu, the city, and then you can visit the wonder on your own. In the afternoon we will take the train back to Ollantaytambo station, and then our staff will pick you up with the mobility back to Cusco, to your hotel.

Upper body:

  • 1 fleece jacket (windbreaker).
  • 1 polar sweater.
  • 1 shirt with long sleeves (optional).
  • 2 / 3 poles.
  • A rain poncho (preferable) or raincoat.

In the head:

  • 1 wool cap.
  • 1 hat or cap for the sun.
  • 1 pair of sunglasses (against ultraviolet light).

Lower body:

  • Rain pants (Gore-Tex or similar).
  • 1 light cotton pants (baggy pants).
  • 1 light wool pants.

Shoes:

  • 1 pair of trekking shoes.
  • 1 pair of slippers or sandals (for resting, showers and thermal baths).

Additional:

  • 4 pairs of wool or synthetic socks.
  • Gloves one pair.
  • Bathing suit (for hot springs in Aguas Calientes, optional).
  • Water (1 liter) for the first day.
  • Non-disposable water bottle (boiled drinking water is provided).
  • Snacks or fruits.
  • Necessary (medication against altitude sickness and personal medication).
  • Hygiene items (soap, toothbrush, deodorant, etc.).
  • Sunscreen.
  • Lip balm.
  • Insect repellent.

  • Torch or flashlight (preferably) and spare batteries.
